Overview

Berlin, Handly, a business management platform for home service professionals, has raised a €3.75 million seed round led by 20VC (Harry Stebbings) and Stride VC (Fred Destin), with participation from Base10 Partners and several prominent angels. The round will help Handly expand its product offering, strengthen its engineering team, and scale operations across Europe.

Building software for the people who build

Handly provides enterprise-grade tools for small service companies from carpenters and electricians to painters and plumbers helping them run every part of their business with ease. The platform covers website creation, lead generation, quoting, scheduling, staff management, bookkeeping, and compliance.

By replacing spreadsheets and outdated systems, Handly gives independent professionals the structure to operate like established enterprises, enabling them to focus on their craft, not their admin.

Founder story

Founder Bastian Meyer grew up as the son of a roofer and the grandson of an electrician. First-hand, he saw the obstacles tradespeople face: limited digital tools, inefficient workflows, and constant paperwork. His mission is simple, to help skilled workers build sustainable businesses with confidence.

"I wanted to create a platform that removes barriers and empowers tradespeople to become business owners. Technology should work for them, not the other way around."
Bastian Meyer, Founder & CEO of Handly

Backing from Europe's leading early-stage investors

The funding round was led by 20VC and Stride VC, joined by Base10 Partners and leading industry angels. The investors cited a large underserved market, a clear founder-market fit, and the team's pragmatic approach to solving operational pain points as reasons for their conviction.

"Big market, poor competition, and legacy incumbents still running on outdated stacks, this is the perfect 20VC deal," said Harry Stebbings. "Handly brings the Shopify approach to the home services industry."

A venture originated out of The Delta's studio

Handly originated out of The Delta's studio, where it was incubated through the early validation and product design stages. Working alongside The Delta's product, design, and engineering teams, Handly refined its business model, developed its MVP, and began onboarding its first paying customers. The Delta continues to support Handly on growth, fundraising, and talent strategy through its broader venture ecosystem.

Why now

In Germany alone, over 250 new home service companies are registered each day, yet most operate without modern business infrastructure. As younger generations enter the trades, digital enablement has become an expectation, not an afterthought.

Next steps

  • Expand coverage across core European markets
  • Launch advanced automation for quoting and invoicing
  • Build a partner marketplace for insurance, tools, and training
